Many of our HR outsourcing solutions involve a Professional Employer Organization (PEO). PEOs enter the employer/employee relationship as a third party employer, in a co-employment situation, and take on many of the risks and responsibilities associated with being an employer.
For example, a PEO will become the “employer of record” of all worksite employees, putting them on their federal ID number, workers’ comp policy, HR compliance and in many cases health care and employee benefit plans. This transfer of work, risk and liability helps the employer turn their employee headaches and problems in to “somebody else’s problem.”

The PEO will take away the burden of paying taxes, workers’ comp premium and other employee related expenses. The PEO will handle payroll audits, insurance audits, unemployment claims and other employer hassles.
The client retains control of their worksite employees, while transferring all the mundane drudgery and paperwork to the PEO.
PEO services have only been around since the late 80’s but are beginning to become popular labor and cost saving solutions to HR problems. In Florida alone, latest estimates show that nearly 32% of all employees are in a co-employment situation with a PEO (June 2015).
Other states are not far behind. Employers are beginning to realize the need for a professional HR partner in this ever increasing litigious landscape.
What We Do
At EmployerNomics we have developed a proprietary system to “match” you, the employer, to the right PEO for you. Oh, you can find one yourself, but with over 2500 PEOs in the country, that might be a lot of busy work.
After a preliminary interview with us where we collect data such as the following:
- Estimated Annual Payroll
- State(s) of Operation
- Employee Work Descriptions
- Number of Employees
- Previous Insurance History
- Growth Potential
- Other Risks and Exposures
- Benefits Desired
- Technical Interfaces Desired
- Employer Administration Budget
and more, we begin the search of our extensive list of PEO and Payroll providers. We put the “pieces of the puzzle” together to provide you the big picture and find the right provider to give you what you need for the amount you want to spend.
If you would like to hear more about how we can help you select a PEO for your business call us at 407-490-2468. As we always say, we can’t help you if you don’t call.
